About Tulshi
Tulshi is a village of about 7,000 people in Madha taluka, Solapur district, Maharashtra. For decades the village has lived with a severe drinking water shortage, and an irrigation canal project nearby has stayed incomplete for 26 years.
When villagers put up a "village for sale" board to ask for water, they got the country's attention. Now the Gram Panchayat has chosen another path: let the world buy what Tulshi makes. This marketplace lets every family sell its food, crafts, farm produce and skills directly.
There is no commission. The gateway fee and shipping are paid by the customer, and sellers receive the full product price. Every order supports a family in Tulshi.
